Lifelong Learning begins its 2021-22 season with a Lunch and Learn course (without the lunch!), presented by Cantor Marina Shemesh.  The course is "Rachel and Leah -- in Words and Song".

This year is a milestone year for trail-blazing Israeli women poets -- it is the 90th yahrzeit of Rachel Bluwstein, and the 110th anniversary of Leah Goldberg's birth. In Hebrew, we use the same word for song and poem -- shir. In this course, we will read, discuss, and listen to Rachel's and Leah's poems in popular Hebrew songs. Knowledge of Hebrew is not necessary.

The four-session course will be held on Tuesdays, October 19, October 26, November 2, November 9, from noon to 1:30.

Due to Covid rules at the Temple, it will be a ZOOM presentation. There will be a fee for the four-session course: $20 for Temple Sinai members, $30 for non-members. You must pre-register at Temple Sinai, and pay in advance.
