Israel Action Committee

The Israel Action Committee (IAC) strives to build connections between the congregation and Israel. By increasing awareness of Israel’s internal and external challenges on being the world’s only Jewish state, we also highlight Israel’s role as a Jewish homeland.

Israel and Your Family

To promote religious pluralism in Israel, Temple Sinai has become an ARZA Supporting Congregation. ARZA's (the American Reform Zionist Association) mission is to build an inclusive, democratic, and just society in Israel and to raise up a new generation of Reform Jews by insuring a connection with the land, people, and the State of Israel.  Please visit www.arza.org and https://www.facebook.com/pg/ARZAUS/posts/ to learn more about ARZA and its important work.

To support this effort, all members of the Temple Sinai Israel Action Committee and the Board of Trustees have, as a family, become ARZA members.  Individual ARZA membership is $50/family.

To become a member, make a $50 check payable to Temple Sinai and write ARZA in the notation portion of the check OR,  click on DONATE on this website and find, on the drop down box, – ARZA MEMBERSHIP – (not Endowment Fund).  It might be quicker and easier to join through the website.

Your family can win a free one year ARZA membership.
Temple Sinai will underwrite family membership for the first 20 students and family who submit an essay.  Your essay must include your name, contact information and the following:
  • Your feelings toward Israel
  • Your vision of an Israeli future
  • Your plans to visit Israel
This opportunity is funded by Temple Sinai’s Israel Endowment Fund.
Please email your essay to Office@templesinainj.org.

Other activities include, Israel Bond drives, offering Israel summer camp scholarships, and attending AIPAC annual conferences in Washington DC.
