Shabbat

From Tot Shabbat to Torah Study, Shabbat at Temple Sinai is for everyone!  We offer multiple ways to pray and learn together with the community on Friday nights and Saturday mornings.

Shabbat Services - Multiple Prayer Experiences Each Month

Fridays

5:30pm   Ahavat Shabbat (Tot Shabbat) - Join other families with young children as we sing, dance, say the blessings, and soak in the joy of Shabbat together!

6:00pm   Shabbat B'yachad -  Shabbat Together - An earlier service for the whole congregation, Shabbat B'Yachad brings together the entire Temple Sinai community for a joyful Shabbat prayer experience.  Members of all ages are invited up to the bimah for monthly birthday blessings and we conclude with a special blessing for all of the children.

7:30pm   Shabbat Nefesh - Nefesh means "soul" and this musical service has a more contemplative feel with moments for quiet reflection as well as soulful melodies that help us enter Shabbat with spaciousness and joy.

7:30pm   Traditional Shabbat Service - Our traditional Friday night services include familiar Reform melodies and readings from our prayerbook, Mishkan T'filah.

7:30pm   Blue Jean Shabbat - Come as you are for this Shabbat service song-session as we sit together around a faux campfire and welcome Shabbat with the sounds of guitars and shakers and communal singing.

(To find out when each of these services are scheduled, check the Temple Calendar.)

Saturdays

8:45am - Torah Study with Rabbi Glazer - Join other curious adults as we learn together each Shabbat morning, working our way through the Hebrew Bible.  All texts are available in English and no previous experience is necessary.

(Check the Temple Calendar for B'nei Mitzvah Shabbat morning services.)
